May 18th, 4-time state placer and 2x State Champion Daniel Kelly, and 3-time state placer Stephone Kling signed letters of intent to continue their outstanding wrestling careers at Adams State College in Alamosa.

Pondo Freestyle Duals – Results

1st Place – Broomfield
2nd Place – Ponderosa
3rd Place – Rio Rancho

It was another great Freestyle Dual Tourney at Ponderosa over the weekend. The three top teams were all State Champions in their respective State and Class. Broomfield was able to edge us in the finals, congrats to them. The competition isnt going to slow down…Let’s stay busy!!!

Ponderosa Freestyle Duals – May 2nd 2009

The 2nd annual Ponderosa Freestyle Duals will be held at PHS on May 2nd.

Format: 10 teams, two pools of five. At least four Duals for each team!
Times: Begin at 9 a.m. Continuous duals throughout the day, anticipated ending time is 4 p.m.
Weigh-Ins: Each team will weigh at their own school, certified by an administrator.
Weights: 98, 105, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 275
Cost: $250 per team. Please make checks payable to Ponderosa Takedown Club. Payment must be on or before May 2nd.
Awards: Trophies for the top two teams
Concessions: Available throughout the day
Ticket Prices: $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for students and senior citizens
Directions: 1-25 to Lincoln Ave., east on Lincoln to Parker RD., south on Parker rd to Bayou Gulch Rd., east on Bayou Gulch to school (on your left)
