Regional Champions!

The ‘Stangs Wrestled well over the weekend and won a Regional title at Legacy High School.  The men are poised to go downtown and make a serious run for another State Title.

Special congrats to State Qualifiers: Torry Williams, John Lewis, Cody McMullen, Kelton Good, Corry Williams, Conner Crane, Mac Lennon, and regional champion Thad Gallegos!

The State tournament begins this Thursday at the Pepsi center with the first round starting at 7:15 p.m.  If you are interested in sitting with the Ponderosa crowd on Saturday night for the finals, please contact Kirby Ross at 303-805-1000.  On Ponderosa!!!

18 Straight League Titles! 154-0 since 1994 season.

Congratulations to the 2011-2012 edition of Ponderosa Wrestlers who continued the streak of League Championships.  This streak is pretty remarkable considering that through sickness, injury, and ineligibilty the Mustangs have been undefeated for 18 years.

Look for the guys that have made this another successful year to go and do well at Regionals this weekend at Legacy High School.  Good Luck to Daniel Opferman, Kade Snider, Will Martinez, Tyler Turco, Torry Williams, John Lewis, Cody McMullen, Kelton Good, Thad Gallegos, Corry Williams, Conner Crane, Mac Lennon, and Eric Hoff as they wrestle this weekend!

Good Start!

The Mustangs got the new Wrestling year started right as the Varsity is off to a 3-0 start and the JV is 2-1.  The varsity earned wins over Legend (58-15), Mountain Range (46-18), and ThunderRidge (60-18).  The boys have looked very impressive and that momentum will be needed for upcoming competition.

The next dual is at home on Tuesday (12/13) against #1 ranked Pomona.  This will be an exciting match with several key battles that will decide the war.

Then the stangs will travel to Gillette, WY. for a dual tournament against some of the best teams in Wyoming and Montana.  Stay tuned for results and…On Ponderosa!

K-8th Grade Wrestlers

For all interested in getting their son(s) or daughter(s) involved in our Junior Wrestling Program, there will be an informational meeting on Thursday, October 27th.  The meeting will take place at Ponderosa High School in the cafeteria from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The feeder program is “Parker Sons of Thunder” and is one of the elite programs in the country.  Whether your child is a beginner, intermediate, or advanced PSOT provides instruction for all levels and abilities.
